Amazing training fuel!!!

These are by far the best dates I’ve ever had! My first order was for Mabroom an Sagai and they are incredible! I’m an endurance athlete and dates are an important part of my training nutrition - I always eat 3-4 dates before a training session to ensure I have enough energy to get through a hard endurance block. I also like to pack a few in my hip belt on my shorter training hikes and for longer hikes, 30+km, I use them to balance out my carb sources because they’re easy on my stomach and don’t cause any GI issues from carb loading. I recently started putting them in homemade protein bars and they’re unreal!

Dates also help with my disrupted sleep. Overnight my blood sugar lowers which often causes a cortisol spike which wakes me up around 2am. 1 or 2 dates 30 minutes before bed goes a long way to helping me stay asleep!
I’m so glad I found these things!

Wow, Matt, this is amazing to read! Thanks for sharing how you’re using the dates for both training and everyday life. We’re so glad they’re fueling your endurance blocks, hikes, and even helping with sleep. And the photo on the trail is next level. We LOVE seeing dates in action! Appreciate the support and the inspiration.

Mabroom is my favourite after sukkari

I've had the sukkari variety before but I think mabroom is my second favourite. I really like the chewiness and richness of it. Shipping was very reasonable and arrived in just a few days.

Thanks for your review, Gamal! Mabroom’s chewiness and rich flavour make it a close second for a lot of people. Glad it arrived quickly and that you’re enjoying both favourites!

FAQs

Head to our FAQs page to find out more.

Are dates actually considered a superfood?

They should be — and we’re making it happen. Dates are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and essential minerals like potassium and magnesium. In fact, just 3 Mejdool dates pack more potassium than a banana. They’re also naturally sweet, energizing, and 100% unprocessed. So yes — dates are a superfood. They just haven’t had the same PR team as avocados (until now).

Are dates good for workouts or active lifestyles?

Absolutely. Dates are a natural source of quick and sustained energy, rich in potassium, fiber, and natural sugars — perfect for a pre- or post-workout snack.

Are dates safe for people with diabetes?

Yes — dates can be safely enjoyed by people with diabetes when eaten in moderation. They have a low to moderate glycemic index (GI) and are rich in fiber, which helps slow the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream. Because dates contain natural sugars (not added or refined ones), they’re often a better alternative to processed sweets. We recommend enjoying them in small portions and, when possible, pairing them with a source of protein or healthy fat — and as always, checking in with a healthcare provider for personalized guidance.
