January 2025
An ankle break ignites our quest for nature’s ultimate fuel
In January 2025, a broken ankle from an indoor bouldering fall forced me into unexpected downtime at home. Between lazy mornings with the kids, couch naps with our family’s newest addition, and snacking on dates together, the idea for Mighty Mejdool started to take shape. Most people only know Medjool dates, but there’s a whole world of varieties with incredible natural flavours, textures, and benefits worth discovering.
March 2025
Sukkari onboarded as Chief Date Officer (CDO)
In March 2025, we welcomed Sukkari as our Chief Date Officer (CDO). With no sales yet and our first shipment still on the way, Sukkari focused on the important stuff: lounging on sample boxes, sniffing out only the finest dates, and keeping morale high. His playful “meow of approval” and occasional gentle bites became part of the Mighty Mejdool story long before our first box ever shipped.

First shipment of Mighty organic dates leaves Saudi Arabia
In July 2025, our inaugural pallet—shrink-wrapped and stacked with a curated mix of Medjool, Ajwa, Sukkari, Sagai, and Mabroom dates—departed the holding warehouse in Saudi Arabia. This milestone was the result of careful sourcing, ethical partnerships, and meticulous planning. From palm groves to pallet, each box carries our commitment to quality and sustainability as we begin our journey to bring nature’s energy from the desert oasis into your hands.
August 2025
The first Mighty shipment delights our customers
In August 2025, we packed our first Mighty Mejdool shipment for local delivery. This was our first proof that months of sourcing, testing and planning had paid off. We took a moment to pause and celebrate, knowing this was the real beginning of sharing nature’s fuel with families, athletes and date-lovers everywhere.

Our segment on CTV Your Morning Ottawa introduced Canadians to the real power of dates and why they deserve the same spotlight as other superfoods. The episode was later shared on CTV’s national YouTube channel, giving Mighty Mejdool Canada-wide reach and helping even more people discover the flavour, variety, and natural energy behind our dates.

Mighty Mejdool Attends Eat Well Live Well Expo
Mighty Mejdool attended its first expo at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, joining 200+ vendors and connecting with over 10,000 attendees. The response was massive, but the takeaway was clear: few people understand the immense benefits of dates, and even fewer realize how many natural flavours and textures exist beyond Medjool.
