Morning Fuel: Eggs + Sukkari Combo You Didn’t Know You Needed

A surprisingly satisfying twist on your morning scramble.

Yes, we said it: eggs and dates. It might not be your go-to pairing (yet), but trust us: this combo is a total game changer. Creamy scrambled eggs paired with soft, caramel-like Sukkari dates create a rich, nourishing breakfast that fuels you without the crash.

This one’s become a staple in our kitchen. It’s protein packed, naturally sweet, and comes together in under 10 minutes. Perfect for busy mornings or post workout recovery.

Ingredients

  • 3–4 large eggs
  • 1–2 teaspoons of butter, olive oil, or (ideally) ghee Ghee gives the Sukkari dates a rich, buttery finish. Highly recommended.
  • 3–4 Sukkari Gaf dates, pitted and roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or pan over medium high heat and add your butter, oil, or ghee.
  2. While it heats, pit and chop your dates into small chunks.
    Avoid cutting them too small. You want each bite to deliver that soft, caramel chew. Too big, and you’ll run out too fast.
  3. In a bowl, beat your eggs until well mixed.
  4. Once your ghee is melted and the pan is warm, toss in the dates.
  5. Stir occasionally as they cook. You're aiming for a golden brown, almost toffee like texture.
  6. When the dates begin to brown and soften, pour in your eggs.
  7. Gently scramble, cooking to your preferred doneness.
    We like it fluffy, but you do you.
  8. Season as desired. We like Tajín!
  9. Serve immediately. Perfect as a pre workout power meal or a cozy post training recovery dish.
